ITINERARY-AT-A-GLANCE:

DAY 1 – Departure from the USA. Overnight flight to Europe.
 
DAY 2 HOLLAND . . Amsterdam Airport – Lelystad.  Arrive at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. Meet your tour manager and transfer to your hotel in Lelystad. Welcome dinner at the hotel. (Dinner)

DAY 3 – HOLLAND . . Lelystad.  Your day is at leisure to explore Holland. The optional ‘Grand Holland’ excursion includes a drive through Holland’s countryside, a stop at a picturesque Dutch village, free time in Amsterdam, and a boat ride through the canals. Dine at your hotel. (Breakfast, Dinner)

DAY 4 – BELGIUM . . Antwerp & HOLLAND . . Heerlen.  Visit the historic city of Antwerp, known for its convivial outdoor cafes, chocolates, lace and waffles, and an American WWII Cemetery. Piano music accompanies your dinner at the hotel in Heerlen, near the border of Belgium, Holland and Germany. (Breakfast, Dinner)

DAY 5 – GERMANY . . Rhine River Cruise – Heidelberg - Mannheim. Cross the border into Germany’s North Rhine area. At Boppard, begin your cruise of the castle-lined Rhine River. Then tour the old town and castle of Heidelberg. Overnight and dinner in Mannheim. (Breakfast, Dinner)

DAY 6 – GERMANY . . Rothenburg – Romantic RoadOberammergau. Sleepy little villages, majestic fortresses and timeless castles enhance the scenery before and after the morning stop. Then it’s on to Rothenburg, Europe’s best-preserved medieval city. After lunch and an afternoon stop, travel to Oberammergau, Germany. (Breakfast, Dinner)

DAY 7 GERMANY . . Oberammergau.In the morning, visit the Oberammergau Museum and explore the village. After lunch, transfer to the Passion Play Theatre. The rest of the day is devoted to the Passion Play. You will have dinner and a little more time to explore the village during the 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. intermission. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

DAY 8 GERMANY . . Munich & AUSTRIA – Innsbruck – Neustift. Spend the morning in the Bavarian capital of Munich and the afternoon in Austria’s Imperial City of Innsbruck. Overnight in the Alpine village of Neustift. (Breakfast)

DAY 9 ITALY . . Dolomite MountainsLake Garda – Verona – Vicenza. Continue across the spectacular Brenner Pass into the Dolomite Mountains. Then it’s on to Lake Garda and legendary Verona before reaching your hotel in Vicenza. (Breakfast, Dinner)

DAY 10 ITALY . . Venice – Vicenza . The day is devoted to magical Venice. The optional ‘Venice Dinner’ excursion takes you to an enchanting vine-clad courtyard. (Breakfast)

DAY 11 ITALY . . Florence – Regello. Travel south to see Florence’s marvelous architecture. Spend the night in Regello, known for its olive oil. (Breakfast, Dinner)

DAY 12 ITALY . . Rome – Anguillara Sabazia. Upon your arrival in Rome, you will be free to explore the legendary city at your own pace. Unwind for the night in Anguillara Sabazia. (Breakfast, Dinner)

DAY 13 ITALY . . Rome – Anguillara Sabazia. After a guided tour of the historic capital, you may want to join the ‘Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel’ or ‘Rome Dinner’ optional excursions. (Breakfast)

DAY 14 ITALY . . Tyrrhenian CoastPisa. Admire the coastal scenery on your drive to Pisa, home of the world-famous Leaning Tower. (Breakfast, Dinner)

DAY 15 – SWITZERLAND . . Lake LuganoGotthard PassLake Lucerne Region. Enter Switzerland for a leisurely break in Lugano. Continue to your hotel in William Tell country. (Breakfast, Dinner)

DAY 16 – SWITZERLAND . . Stans – Lake Lucerne Region.  Stop in Stans this morning where you may join the optional ‘Swiss Mountain’ excursion. After a leisurely afternoon of sightseeing in Lucerne, return to your hotel in the Lake Lucerne Region. Consider participating in the optional ‘Swiss Lake Boat Ride & Dinner’ excursion. (Breakfast)

DAY 17 – FRANCE . . Beaune – Auxerre. Cross the French border into the wine country of the Burgandy region. Stop for lunch in picturesque, medieval village of Beaune. Proceed to Auxerre for a farewell dinner at your hotel. (Breakfast, Dinner)

DAY 18 – FRANCE . . Isle-of-France Region – Paris. Make a short rest stop before entering Paris for an afternoon and evening in the ‘City of Lights’. Your tour manager will offer an optional ‘Seine River Cruise’ excursion in the afternoon and an optional ‘Paris Evening’ excursion. (Breakfast)

DAY 19 – FRANCE . . Paris. The day is yours to explore the city’s museums and boutiques. To experience Parisian nightlife, join the optional ‘Paris Dinner & Cabaret Show ’ excursion. (Breakfast)

DAY 20 – ENGLAND . . London. The high-speed Eurostar takes you to London, where a local guide will show you the city’s main sights before dinner. (Breakfast, Dinner)

DAY 21 – ENGLAND . . London. You have free time today to visit London. This afternoon’s optional ‘Tower of London & Thames Cruise’ excursion includes the Crown Jewels. (Breakfast)

DAY 22 – Daytime flight from London Gatwick Airport back to the U.S.A. (Breakfast)
